The Derrin Little Award
The award of excellence has been renamed the Derrin Little Award. Impact player Derrin Little was the first player to receive the award (2015) from LYNC Athletics.
The award is given to the player that is highly motivated to do well in school, has community involvement, continues path of education beyond high school and follows the high standards of Impact Basketball. Derrin exemplifies all of these charateristics. He excelled as a student-athlete at Grays Creek High School, where he was quarterback for the football team. He played basketball there as well. Mr. Little plays the drums for his church and was a dedicated player for Impact. Upon graduating high school, he signed to attend college at Greensboro College and will be majoring in physical education.
